Traffiglove TD02 Eco-Friendly Biodegradable Disposable Gloves

In their drive to pursue more sustainable and eco-friendly manufacturing processes, Traffi have developed the Traffiglove TD02 Eco-Friendly Biodegradable Disposable Gloves. Using ethically sourced latex from rubber tress is Sri Lanka, they have created a durable, chemical resistant disposable glove that matches all the protective properties of traditional nitrile and rubber ones.

What's Included

  • 100 x Single Gloves

These gloves are sold in boxes of 100 gloves. As they are ambidextrous, there is no need to spend time trying to match pairs.

Which Size Is Right For Me?

If you're after an eco-friendly glove that fits like a second skin, Traffiglove TD02 Gloves are perfect for you. The tighter the feel of the glove, the more important getting the right size is.

Thankfully, this couldn't be easier. Simply measure the width of your palm before consulting the sizing chart below. If your measurement puts you on a sizing boundary, we recommend you take a size up for optimal dexterity and touch.

What Do TD02 Gloves Protect Against?

Traffiglove TD02 Gloves are tested against EN ISO 374, which specifies protection against bacteria, viruses, fungi and other harmful transmissive micro-organisms. They also have a slightly extended cuff to prevent water and potentially harmful chemicals penetrating the glove at the wrist.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Made with sustainably sourced latex for a ecologically conscious product
  • Ideal for use in food preparation or other sanitation conscious environments
  • Protects against a range of micro-organisms, bacteria, viruses and fungi
  • Dermatologically tested and approved by the Skin Health Alliance (SHA)
  • Made from a rubber blend that uses 85% less energy than standard nitrile rubber
  • Manufactured in Sri Lanka for a more ethically friendly product
  • Product works to benefit local communities by providing jobs, on-site accommodation, schooling and sanitation facilities

What Makes Traffiglove TD02 Gloves Eco-Friendly?

Traditional nitrile gloves can take over 100 years to biodegrade on a landfill. TD02 Gloves degrade by an amazing 82% within 90 days, meaning they do not sit in landfills and nature creating harmful toxins and damaging the planet.

Traffiglove have also committed to sourcing their materials from environmentally and socially ethical rubber tree plantation areas. Over 60% of the rubber used in the manufacturing of a TD02 Glove is sourced locally in Sri Lanka.

What Are The Benefits of Latex?

Latex as a compound offers a high level of protection against viruses, chemicals and other potentially harmful bacteria. Latex offers amazing dexterity, allowing you to complete incredibly precise and tactile tasks without fuss. Latex is often described as having a "second skin" feel to it due to its snug, compact feel.

How Does the TD02 Biodegrade?

As landfills vary greatly, the claims that certain other manufacturers make about the biodegradability of their gloves can be dubious. The TD02 uses a unique tri-polymer formula designed to speed up the decomposition process. This construction helps to attract microbial organisms that break down material.

TD02 Gloves have been proven to biodegrade by an incredible 82% over 90 days, making them the ideal choice for anyone seeking peace of mind over their or their businesses carbon footprint.

Is the TD02 Packaging Recyclable?

Yes, the packaging TD02 Gloves are delivered in is made from 100% recycled material and is 100% recyclable.

What Are Worker Conditions Like At The TD02 Factory?

Traffi has a dedicated production line for the TD02 in Sri Lanka, where they ensure they always exceed all minimum expectations for employee welfare. This factory is fully certified and audited by SEDEX, QIMA and ISO18001. Traffiglove's glove factory partner offers on-site employee housing, free medical care and education programmes.
