EN 388 is a European regulation governing the sale of gloves used for safety and protection. It determines the gloves' performance when used whilst working in and around mechanical machinery by measuring abrasion, cut, tear and puncture resistance.

The EN 388 cut resistance test uses a single sharp implement to repeatedly pressure a glove in order to determine the amount of force required to cause visible and functional damage.

Why Bother Wearing Safety Gloves?

It's a common mistake to think that small scuffs, abrasions and bumps can't do long term damage. This mindset results in weak gloves wearing down to the point where they no longer protect your hands at all.

What Are "Light Workplace" Gloves?

A light workplace is an environment where your hands are unlikely to incur a serious injury. The types of thing Delta Plus VE722 are brilliant at preventing and guarding against are:

  • Abrasions
  • Bumps
  • Cuts
  • Hand Fatigue
  • Punctures
  • Scrapes
  • Scratching
  • Scuffs
  • Wrist Stress and Strain

What Does a Foam Nitrile Coating Do?

Foam nitrile is an incredibly durable and porous coating. It is unparalleled when working in slightly damp conditions as it behaves like a sponge, creating a suction cup effect that sucks up moisture, leaving the user able to grip tightly onto whatever they're lifting. Foam nitrile is also three times more puncture resistant than rubber.

Materials Used to Manufacture Delta Plus VE722 Safety Gloves
